Workers Compensation Defense Attorney

Workers Compensation defense attorney sought.  Candidate with 1-5 years of experience preferred.  Attorney will handle hearings, prehearings, settlement conferences, and depositions. The position will also require the ability to prepare pleadings and case reports. We offer a collaborative work environment and a generous benefit package.  Total compensation (including salary, productivity bonus, and discretionary bonus) is in the range of $100,000 to $160,000, depending on experience and productivity.


Litigation Defense Attorney

We are looking to add a 3-6 year litigator to our team.  The ideal candidate will have experience taking and defending depositions, briefing and arguing substantive motions, and second-chairing trials.  Total compensation (including salary, productivity bonus, and discretionary bonus) is in the range of $100,000 to $160,000, depending on productivity.  A comprehensive benefits package is offered to all attorneys.

Legal Assistant

White and Steele, P.C. has an immediate opening for a full-time legal assistant to join our well-established downtown firm that offers a friendly, inclusive and collaborative work environment.  The position involves assisting several attorneys in all aspects of litigation.

Responsibilities:

  • Transcribing dictation, filing pleadings, communicating with clients, prepare correspondence, maintain contact and case lists, monitor deadlines and calendars, maintain in-house electronic and paper files, open and closing files, etc., and other duties as assigned. 

Requirements:

  • Candidate must be experienced and competent with Colorado legal procedures and the court systems, office technology, use of court e-filing systems, document organization, and records management and be able to manage multiple scheduling demands through effective time management and use of calendars.  Candidate must be able to meet deadlines with shifting priorities on a day-to-day basis.
  • Candidate must have strong secretarial, organizational, proofreading, and communication skills, and must have strong computer and technology skills.
  • Consistent and regular attendance in the office is an essential function of this position.
  • This position requires both sitting for long periods of time and frequent trips to the mail room, attorney offices, file room, etc.
  • This position requires the ability to frequently lift and carry files of up to 25 pounds. 

The range of compensation is $60,000-$67,500 (depending on experience) and a generous benefits package, including:
